1. Whisk together cocoa powder and Swoon in a medium sauce pan. Try to break up any cocoa lumps.
2. Whisk in the heavy whipping cream or the coconut milk a little bit at a time, until the contents of the pan thicken.
3. Slowly pour in the almond milk, while whisking. Heat the pan over medium-low heat, whisking frequently, until hot. Do not allow mixture to boil. Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract, if desired.
4. Pour into separate mugs.
